We had the pleasure of attending Roger Whittaker's show in Redding, California He was a delightful and humble man and spoke so lovingly of his family and Kenya. I was just listening to his songs the other night and so glad his beautiful voice will live on forever. Carole Dingman Grom

Roger's music was such a huge part of my family's life. I recall hearing his voice from the time I was a wee lass. My whole family would sing along, especially to the songs from The Magical World of Roger Whittaker. My father would sing all of Roger's love songs to my mother. So much so that when I hear Roger Whittaker, I hear my father. Now they are both gone and I cannot pretend that it does hurt me to the core of my soul. But, I can also be grateful for all the amazing memories throughout my life that were punctuated by his beautiful music. My gratitude for the music he shared and my condolences for his family for their loss.

The news this morning of Roger Whittaker's death greatly saddened me. Though never able to see him perform live, his music has carried me through any number of situations since the early sixties. Roger did not, could not, record or perform a song other than excellently. My Echo plays Roger's tunes to start my day. It eases the stress of dealing with life. He may be gone from this earthly plain but the legacy of his music will go forward for years to come. God must have needed an angel to help him with something special. Prayers and warm thoughts are sent to Mrs Whittaker and their children They will no doubt miss him greatly but should feel proud Roger Whittaker, and his music, was loved by so many

Sad to hear the passing of Roger Whittaker and reflect on childhood memories of my late father who loved Rogers music. Family car journeys would be accompanied by Roger in the background with dad singing - and whistling- along. Beautiful memories- thank you Roger

The old king has passed away. I pray for his family during this time. I listened to Roger Whittaker’s music as a kid in the 90’s, and my very first music concert I ever attended was when he came to Boise, Idaho, and he brought the house down. His music was with me as I entered adulthood, got married, had kids, got an education, wrote books, and the message of his music has permeated all I do. I miss feeling the mighty tremors of your heartbeat on this earth, Mr. Whittaker, and your voice that taught me to dream of a better future. Enjoy the chorus of angels.

I was deeply saddened to learn of the sad news of Roger Whittaker,I would like to offer my condolences to Natalie and family. I too was born in Nairobi and attended Nairobi Primary School where in 1958 Roger Whittaker was my form teacher. As well as teaching his love was for music and entertaining, he would entertain the whole school at the end of term in the school hall. I next met up with Roger Whittaker at a UK concert in 1976,which was the First Hello since The Last Farewell ,6 years later in 1982 I had the pleasure of being on "Roger Whittaker This is your Life" A truly memorable day that was,The last time I met up with Roger Whittaker was in 2005 on another UK tour of his, I told him I was going back to Kenya after 43 years for a holiday, he said to me " Once you've got the dust of Africa on your boots you just want to keep going back" How true that was for me, The Good Old EAR&H certainly did get us there on time when we used to travel from Nairobi to Mombasa and back, on holiday, My Land is Kenya so warm and wild and free ,will always stay with me.

Every day brought A new world in the morning and then I felt like A rich man. I whistled like a Mexican and never wondered Why. It was your pleasant and warm voice, your songs brought me peace and tranquility and for that I thank you. Unfortunately, there is now The last farewell. Rest in Peace Roger.
