Dear Roger, thank you for sharing your musical giftedness with all of us. You gave us all many hours of pleasure, and this will continue still for many years ahead.

Hearing of Roger Whittaker's unfortunate passing. I felt compelled to say something on this page. I grew up in the late 60s and early 70s and always enjoyed listening to his songs in those formative years. This man always delivered great songs, songs, that i personally never tire of listening to all these years later. Roger Whittaker's CDs are always with me in the car, his songs are so special to me. Roger Whittaker is a legend.

Dear Dear Roger, It is very hard to believe and accept that a month has already passed since you left us all; grieving and sad in our hearts that we can no longer see you and laugh and hug and chat. It has been over fifty wonderful years; thank you! You are always always in our hearts. You have left the world a kinder gentler place where just the mention of your name brings smiles to faces. God Bless and keep you safe in His arms Dear Roger. Rest in Peace.

At work I sang the song new world in the morning a fortnight ago, when a colleague walked by and said; that's from Roger Whittaker! 'Yes' I said, 'my greatest hero for 50 years!'... 'he recently passed away...' said my colleague. When I heard that, I was devastated...

I am very so sad to hear of Roger Whittaker's passing. He was such a unique talent. I remember him on television in the '70's, his catchy songs and avuncular persona. Seeking out these songs online a few years ago, I discovered his German 'schlager' music. I found myself listening to these songs over and over, even though I have no understanding of the lyrics. There is a joyous, happy quality about this music that is soothing in such an uncertain world. As a musician myself, I really appreciate his versatility and artistry. My condolences to his family and friends.

Songs that will live deep in the heart of those who loved Roger. My only regret is that I never saw him in concert. I promised my daughter that we would. She was about 5 at the time. She loved him too. I hope there’s a ship lying rigged and ready in the harbour to sail this legend home

I was introduced to Roger's music by my parents in the 70s (I was born in '71), particularly on holiday car journeys, and maintained a deep affection for his songs all my life. When Karaoke was popular "The Last Farewell" was one of my go-to songs. I will continue to introduce his beautiful music to those around me. We have been blessed. Best wishes to his family.

I grew up in a military family and lived in Germany growing up. One of my mothers favorite albums was Roger Whittaker Live in Canada. I listen on occasion and the memories of that part of my childhood come flooding back.

So sorry to hear of Roger’s passing. One of my mother’s favorite artists, I have many fond memories of Roger singing on the car radio while we drive. A beautiful voice and a wonderful human being. May the peace of God be with his family right now.

Been brought up with listening to Roger we loved his songs and voice. My uncle became ill and moved in with me, he heard me playing roger on Alexia, being in his 80’s I would come home and it’s playing at full volume, he loved it. When he passed over we played rogers song’s especially for I loved you. Roger had a song for all occasions, I had privilege to hearing his concert in Fairfield Halls Croydon. God bless him and rest in peace his songs will never be forgotten and he will be played when it’s time for me to leave xx

A piece of my childhood is gone with Roger’s passing. My father must of play “all my best” on 8 track until the cartridge would overheat! All the lyrics, melodies and of course his whistling, will forever be in my memories. Rest in peace and god bless
