From being a young child of 5-6, my parents used to play Roger's music on the car when we were travelling any distance. Almost 50 years on, and his songs are now in my playlists on Deezer than tapes, but I still listen with fondness at enjoy the memories I have when I hear them. Thank you for your music and may you rest in peace. My condolences to Rogers family.

Thank you Mr. Whittaker for your gift from your heart, and how you blessed my soul many times over.

I'm looking thru the streaming channel, Tubi tonight and I see a Roger Whittaker concert among its listings... I decide to do some research on Roger while I listen to the music... I truly didn't know he had passed away this past September until I was looking at his entry on wikipedia today. I first discovered The Last Farewell in the 80s on a AC radio station... The station played a few of his songs regularly... I eventually got some of his CDs and still play them in my own regular rotation. My heart goes out to Roger's family and friends in mourning his passing. Thank-you Roger for giving all of us A New World in the Morning! Anthony

I am so terribly sad to hear this. He was my favorite singer. His voice still lives on in his recorded music. Sincerely, Rick Nelson Middlesboro, Ky 40965

So sorry to hear of his passing. I had the privilege of attending two of his concerts. I also have his recording of his trip to Africa. He was such an incredible person.

My heart goes out to Roger's loved ones and my sincerest prayers for peace and happiness. Mr. Roger Whittaker brought me such joy and peace in my childhood and throughout all of my life. He is one of the people to paraphrase one of his songs that I can thank the good Lord that I found and was surrounded by. In times of hardship or fear and times of celebration his whistling and gorgeous voice was such a comfort. Thank you sir for sharing your gifts with the world and me.

Natalie and family, my deepest sympathies to all of you. I became a fan of Roger's music in the early 1980's. Over the years I was blessed to see Roger in concert 14 times (all over Michigan). I always had an amazing time talking to his crew and to Roger himself after many of his concerts. He was so kind to take the time to meet his fans and to sign autographs. He will be missed.

My all-time singer & artist. A lovely man, whose lovely character shines through his songs & music. Truly Treasured. I hope the present time of grief for the family & fans will, in time, give way to vivid happy memories. In the meantime two of his songs come to mind & perhaps speak to the situation - ‘Brave & Strong’ & ‘Happy Everything’. Thoughts & prayers. Ken

~ALOHA~wishing Roger Whittaker's family all the best for the new year!!! I thought about you all this Christmas; hope you still had a warm & magical Christmas celebration <3. I have such fond childhood memories of listening to Roger. My father was a huge fan of him, and I grew up listening to his music (and his whistling 🙂 ). I remember we listened to him on cassette in the car driving to our vacation destination in Germany. Hours and hours of songs and singing. Now about 40 years later, I live in Hawaii and last year came the desire to rekindle these wonderful memories and buy all the music I remember, on cd. It was a JOY I can't describe in words, and I am happy to share this now, on my turn with our two little girls... My father still lives in Holland where I was born and grew up, and it warms my heart thinking of our beautiful memories listening to this great INSPIRATIONAL singer/musician. Indeed this was his life, his purpose, he was BORN to sing the songs that set us free, he was born to stand upon a stage and play, he was born to make our heart so light and gay, to bring us JOY, to make us laugh, to see that everything is gonna be alright, to drive away the clouds of grey and make everything ok..... He shared his Divine Gift with us all, his talent and his immense Love for his family and he showed us all how to live a Divinely inspired Life in each and every way. He was.... born to SHINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so grateful for his Presence in my life. ~THANK YOU~ Warmest blessings, Eline.

I have been listening to Roger's Christmas album today gave me a journey back in time. My family and I had the privilege of sitting on the next table to Roger while dining in the restaurant at a concert in the Guildhall in Preston many years ago. I purchased a video that he made on his tour to Kenya with his beloved wife Natalie who he spoke very highly of. I will certainly remember him for his (Last Farewell) R.I.P Roger.

Roger's Christmas album, A Time for Peace, has long been a staple in my family. My grandfather played that record for us many many times. And now, even though he's been gone nearly 17 years, I still think of him as I listen to the album. It's often remarked by a family member that it's not quite Christmas until we've listened to Roger Whittaker. Thank you Roger for making beautiful music for my whole family to enjoy. My condolences to the Whittaker family as I'm sure they'll be missing him this holiday season. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Does anyone know the French song in which the chorus begins with Bon by Mr Whittaker perhaps in the 1970s? This was a family favorite and we cannot locate it. We are so enjoying the Christmas album right now. Blessings all!

I have loved Roger Whittaker since listening to him on my Dad’s record player as a child. So much so my daughter picked “A Perfect Day” for her and her Dad to dance to at her wedding. I lost my husband two years ago so have a little understand what you are feeling right now. Love and thanks. His voice will carry us on. Sleep tight Sir
