Roger's Christmas album has been a family staple for over three decades, and is as much a part of our Christmas traditions as a tree and presents are. A few years ago I also got into his other music - what a voice, what a gift! He was blessed, and in turn blessed us.

I've enjoyed the music for years and will continue my love of listening thru his CD's. I've enjoyed many of his concerts thru the years ... God Bless your family and RIP my friend. You'll not be forgotten.

He amazed me with his whistling, his smooth voice that made a person feel calm. He will be greatly missed. Condolences to his family. RIP Roger....Farewell

Very sad. Roger meant so much to me and my family. I even met him once, he was so sweet and humble, like his angelic voice. RIP, dearest Sir Roger, you will live on in our thoughts and your music. Now you will sing for all our beloved family members in heaven.

So shocked hearing you passed away… I’m 39 years old and I’ve been listening to your great songs since I was 14.
Sadly, I’ve never had the chance to see you live.
You’ve inspired me since Lu youth with your music and your life story. You will be gravely missed.

Such sad news. He was always my favourite singer, ever since I was a kid. I saw him in concert in Burlington, Vermont back in 1987.

I have such fond memories of Sir Roger Whittaker as a young child. Being introduced to your music by my parents, you will forever hold a special place in my music heart.

Saddened to hear this news. Always remember my Mum & Dad listening to Roger for hours on end. I still listen to Roger, his Christmas album a staple in my Christmas music rotation.

Very sad to hear Roger Whittaker has died. He was a wonderful singer & songwriter. Growing up in the 60s & 70s, his music was often played on our family record player. We bought his Durham Town single in 1969 - Mum loved his singing & Dad appreciated the link to his own roots in the north-east. In the 70s, we’d often listen to one of his compilation LPs - alongside Durham Town, personal favourites included I Don’t Believe in If Anymore, Why, New World in the Morning, Mexican Whistler, & The Last Farewell. To this day, I still love to play his songs (now mostly on CD) & in more recent years enjoyed his 1999 album Awakening. He’ll be very much missed but leaves behind many great songs & many precious memories for so many people.

My heart is heavy 💔. I listen to his cds for hours. His voice was the most beautiful in the world. I saw him in concert many years ago. One of my life's special memories. I'm looking forward to meeting him in heaven some day. So thankful that his music and spirit will live on. 💝🎶💝

I am so glad that I was able to attend one of Roger's concerts. He was truly a consummate performer and gentleman!

I grew up in the 70’s listening to Roger. My parents were huge fans. I loved listening to his voice and his whistling. He was amazing. My thoughts and prayers to his family.
