Please accept my sincere condolences to the Whittakers. I have been a fan of Roger's since 1977, when I saw him advertising his music on American TV. I believe he pioneered this form of advertising. We will miss you. But your message prevails in your music!

With condolences to his family, friends and world wide fans. Yes, this day was inevitable, but how sad, all the same. Thank you Roger for sharing your music with us. Rest in Peace.

Grant to them eternal rest. Let light perpetual shine upon them. May his soul and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. I saw Roger perform at the Marin Veteran Hall in 1976 when I was 16. I am now 65 and I have cherished his music for decades. I certainly hope Roger was indeed a good man, good husband and father.

My sincerest condolences to family & friends. Roger’s music in the 80’s was something i heard much growing up as a teenager and i got a few records from 70’s back then. He always enlightened my way, singing with feelings and i’m so sorry for your devastating loss. Heaven is gonna shine a bit brighter tonight. Love always, AwA

Saddened to hear about Roger Whittaker. His style and melodies were a great comfort and made a fantastic change to the the rock and pop culture. Roger will be missed. But his music, thankfully, will live on.

My favourite musician and singer, Roger Whittaker, has past away. Kenyan/English a “third culture kid”. His song “My land is Kenya” says it all. Got to know his music and his lyrics as moved to Iceland in 1972. Since then his music has meant so much for me. It has followed me ever since. Part of my history.

I have loved his music for many, many years. I am so very sad after learning of his passing. Many years ago, my mother played for me the song “Old Durham Town.” She was in tears as we listened. She grew up in Tucson, Arizona during the Second World War where Davis Monthan Army Air Corp was located. Her memories of this time were precious to me. Form then on, we were Roger Whittaker fans. Loved him and loved his incredible voice.❤️❤️❤️💔💔💔

My mother worked for Roger in the 70’s. He took me to London and introduced me to the recording studio. It’s been my life ever since. He changed the lives of many…… unknowingly he actually gave me a life. I’m eternally grateful. Sincere condolences to Natalie and all the family.

Thank you for many years of pleasure. One of my first childhood memories was you playing a Birthday dedication for me at one of your live shows (Boa Constrictor). Your voice was like chocolate - although perhaps not when singing that one. I am smiling thinking about it now. May you rest in peace.

Heartfelt condolences to Natalie and family. I knew Roger and Nat for many years in our French village and, apart from loving growing up with his music, especially loved a tale he liked to tell about a number of us on a visit to watch Leonard Cohen in Toulouse. It made me smile whenever he told it, much embellished! Lovely Roger, goodnight. Nat, hope to see you soon. Much love. Rosa
