I am so upset to hear of Rogers passing. I was only listening to his greatest hits album the other day whilst gardening. It was a beautiful sunny day & I was alone cutting branches in the woods with Rogers music keeping me company. I truly felt alive & content. This is what he brought to the world, good honest music with charming spirit. My condolences to his family with the kindest of memories every time I hear his wonderful voice & songs.

Kwa Heri Roger - loved your songs, especially the Good Old EAR&H - reminded me of long tortuous journeys from Njoro to Mombasa to the coast for our annual holidays and the memorable overnight 'school train' from Kisumu to Langata where I attended the rival 'Duko' (Duke of York School) - happy days - Cheerio, old chap

I spilt tears on learning of Roger's passing. The most wonderful voice, whether spoken or in song, and by all accounts a truly lovely person. Thank goodness we can go on listening to him until we all too sing our last farewell.

This is such sad news. I was a great fan of his music. Loved Charlie Mahon, the Last Farewell, I don't believe in if anymore and even By the time I get to Phoenix. Rest easy.

Such sad news and condolences to the Whittaker family. I grew up listening to your beautiful voice and even now your music can be so touching as it reminds me of my late mum watching you on telly in the 1970’s.

So sad to hear the passing of Mr. Whittaker. As child I remember "Last Farewell". It took me years to understand her tears. Now, as an adult, I'm more aware of these things, and it makes me appreciate the music even more. Thank you Mr. Whittaker for you wonderful songs. Godspped

I had a great entertaining night when my husband and I went to see and hear Roger Whittaker sing and whistle. He was so relaxed and quite the storyteller. My condolences to Roger's wife, children, and family.
