I am very saddened that Roger has passed. He was one of my two idols when I was a kid, and his music and song is as magic to me today as it was nearly 50 years ago. I met him once, and had my picture taken with him. It is a prized possession of mine, and it was an honour to meet him. He warmed us all with his voice, and he lifted my spirit with his song. To his wife Natalie and to his family, I extend my heartfelt condolences and my deepest sympathies. Rest in Peace Roger xxx

I was so sad to read of Rogers passing. His music and soul filled my childhood. My mother ran his very first enthusiasts club and I went to many concerts, met him in person and he even dedicated a song to me during a show. Love his voice and that ever so special whistle. Condolences to his beautiful family. Sending much love.
