R.I.P. I´m sad i didn´t saw you live performing - but I´ll love your voice.
So Sorry to hear of Rogers passing, what a pleasure to have known you,an absolute gentleman, fond memories of Liarakeen, Condolence to Natalie and all the family. May you Rest In Peace.
A beautiful voice now sings among the angels.
There is sadness in my heart hearing the passing of such a wonderful man. I remember my first concert where there were seats unoccupied. When he came on stage he explained that we came to see him and not his back, that is why the seats were empty on both sides of the stage. I amassed albums, cassette tapes, and CDs of his wonderful music over the years and only missed one of his concerts that was in my area. There had been a snow storm and my wife was not comfortable driving on the streets. We made it up the following year by traveling to Canada to see him. May his family remember the happy memories, the millions of fans he gathered, and the lives he enriched with his songs. RIP Mr. Whittaker - you will be missed but not forgotten.
I have grown up loving his voice and have always said that he is one of the very few I truly could listen to all day, every day.
Now that I am 38, I wish I had had the chance to hear/see him live...
When we baptized our youngest son (3 years old now) we brought him into the church on Roger's rendition of Morning Has Broken.
You will always have my heart and though at this age it can't possibly have been a great surprise, it still really saddens me to think you are not among us anymore...
I heard Roger Whittager`s «The Last Farewell» in the year 1975. I was 7 years old. He has followed me since. I still listening to his albums. Thank you.
Started in your fanclub in the 80th. I heard your songs all the years.
R.I.P Roger
You will be sorely missed. I will ever remember you.
Caro Roger, mi dispiace tanto. Ti voglio bene. Condoglianze alla Famiglia. Un bacio grande dall'Italia. Roberto.
You will be remembered as the soundtrack of my childhood. Your voice was magnificent.
More than 40 years in my life: his Music!
All the strenght and best for the family!
My deepest sympathy to all the Whittaker family on the passing of Roger an absolute gentleman who I had the pleasure of talking to over the years may you rest in peace
So sorry to hear this news. I had the pleasure of meeting Roger in several occasions , in Stoke, Bangor and Croydon. I had the pleasure to meet Natalie also in Croydon
around 1984.
I live in Basford just around the corner from where one of Rogers parents were born. Rogers music was fantastic and he was a great entertainer and a very nice person who will be greatly missed X
Rest in Peace Roger. I loved your TV programmes and your beautiful singing and guitar playing. You inspire me to play and sing myself though I could never whistle to your level. Thank you for the music.
R.I.P Roger. Your music will never die. Thank you. My condolences to your family.
I had the privilege of seeing him in concert twice in Clearwater, Florida. Will forever be in my memories. RIP Roger.
Having loved Roger Whittaker's music since I was a young lad in the 1960s and seeing him in concert in the 1970s, the news of his death causes much sadness. There is noone like him and he can never be replaced. May Roger Whittaker rest in peace and his family find solace in what he gave them and the rest of us.
I grew up listening to Roger’s wonderful voice and music.
Thank you for the music!
Legend is an understatement. Roger's music was the soundtrack to much of my life from the classics from the '70's and '80's to his lesser known RCA recordings of the late '80's early '90's ,every one of them was heartfelt ,meaningful and sung with that exceptional ,honeyed baritone voice ,the way he interacted and held the audience in the palm of his hand was absolutely inspirational at his live concerts. A truly great entertainer who shall be sorely missed and remembered forever! Bless you Roger and thank you for the music!
So sorry to hear the news. I've always loved his music -- the variety he performed and that soothing voice. I was lucky enough to see him in concert a few times.
