My husband Charles and I are so deeply sorry to hear of Roger's death. He has been a favorite singer of mine since I first heard him in the 1970's. We only had the opportunity to see him in person three times but I have worn out several cassettes and CD's of his music. May he rest in peace and spend eternity adding his wonderful voice to the choir of angels.

Met pijn in mijn hart lees ik dat je bent overleden.
Je was en blijft mijn grootste idool.
Jou muziek heeft mij vele jaren er door heen geholpen vooral de Duitse teksten zo mooi en zo waar.
RIP Roger ik zal altijd van je blijven houden en je hebt een speciaal plekje in mijn hart❤️
Heel veel sterkte voor Nathalie kinderen en kleinkinderen.

I have been a fan of Roger’s for almost 50 years. He has kept me company in my car as a sales person everyday for 40 years. I have never gotten tired of his music and his beautiful voice. I’ve seen him almost 20 times in concert and was able to meet him a few times. I think I have almost every song he’s had recorded in my IPhone. That includes some of the German songs. This is a very sad day. May his memory always be a blessing.

Condolences to Rogers, his music was a total inspiration to me and my 2 boys, they both loved his music especially Durham Town

Many of his songs have accompanied me since my childhood
and again a really big one leaves the stage
and again you realize that we are all transitory and we are all just guests on this earth..
no matter who and what we are
Thank you for the beautiful songs, which gave me courage, strength, joy and beautiful moments in different phases of my life

So sad to hear of his passing. He was a link to my childhood and growing up in Kenya. His songs touched the heart and the longing to go back! He was very talented and will be missed.

When my father died 19th September 2021, age 90, I played "The last farewell"
to him. This was one of his favorite songs. Now I will play it again for you !

My parents played Roger Whittaker’s songs from when I was a small baby and there is no other voice that makes me feel so at ease. Whenever I hear The last farewell and close my eyes, my mind is transcending to a sacred place of joyful memories, where my grandparents and familiy members are alive and happy. Forever thankful for this eternal gift, it means a lot.

The gifts and memories that Mr. Whittaker has given to the world are precious and timeless. His unique style of golden tone singing and amazing whistling will always be remembered and cherished by all you loved him. A few personal favorite songs of mine, Albany, what a wonderful visual song ( also loved as I am part Scot) and of course, The Last Farewell, of which my husband sings and sounds a lot like Mr. Whittaker. Mr. Whittaker's music has left a lot of wonderful memories for us as a family. Thank you!

I have listened to Roger since I was a child, my parents had several 8 tracks of his wonderful music, so sad to hear of his passing, he and his music and whistling will be remembered and sorely missed by me. 😭

I started listening to Roger because of my father I would always play his songs when we were in the car. My father has passed but I still listen to Roger when I play his songs it reminds me of my father he was 89

Thank you for the soundtrack of my youth and the wonderful concerts that my parents and I attended and enjoyed so much. And especially thank you for the wonderful Christmas songs on A Time For Peace .... such an appropriate title for these days. Canada Is ..... grateful.

I got the chance to see Roger in concert many years ago. He was such a wonderful entertainer. His music will forever live on with his fans. Thank you for all the years of your music. My heartfelt sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with his family May you find peace with all the comments from his many fans and what he meant to all of us.
