After a Concert of Roger Whittacker in the 70th I climbed the stage and went to the room, where Roger after knocking openend the door - After a long Session - and talked very friendly and gave me his autograph. I remember him since then as someone who really believed when he sang his beautiful english songs. Some of them - Cactus, One of these days, River lady- will I play as long as my guitar will accompany me. Thank you for all your inspiration, Mister Roger Whittacker

What a voice, what a storyteller and what an inspiring human. Even though I was born in the 1980's, Mr. Whittaker was one the first artists I can remember my parents listening to. So I today listen to his songs with a strong feeling of love, family and appriciation. So sad to hear he has passed, but his music lives on - for me and millions other. Thank you, Mr. Whittaker, thank you! <3

I inherited the love for your from my father. You provided the soundtrack for my teenageyears and through your music, I experienced feelings of love, sadness, happiness, melancholy and the longing for distant horizons. May You sing with the angels. Thanks for everything, Roger

Rest well. The sound of the 70s, the incredible ability to whistle. Many's the time I have listened to "Swaggy", Watu Matari", and the incredible "Whistling around the world" LP in awe.
