I know the music of Roger Whittaker by my parents, who got an vinyl album and a music cassette with Rogers' greatest hits. He brought us joy with his fine music. Rest in peace Roger.

As a young woman I went to see you at Massey Hall on several occasions and even managed to have you autograph an album—one I still have. You were and continue to be one of my very favourite artists— the warmth of your voice and of your personality. The Last. Farewell will always be my favourite… RIP

I don’t have the words to express my sadness when I heard that Roger had passed away. I grew up in East Africa and went to school in Kenya and adopted Roger as my hero from that time, many years ago now but I still play the many records I have of his. Sincere condolences to his family and all my fellow fans - When The Dream That We Live Is Ended - RIP Roger 🥲

Roger Whittaker was the first concert I ever attended back in 1978. I remember thinking how can someone have such a voice so smooth and hefty at the same time. Thank you for the music throughout the years.

He was my family's sunday morning music. My parents would read the paper, I would be on the floor reading a book and we would all listen to his music. His music is the comfort music from my childhood, which I still listen to. He will be greatly missed.

So sad to hear this. Roger's music was to a large extent the soundtrack of my youth, with my mum introducing me as a young child to his music and me subsequently collecting pretty much everything Roger ever recorded. My condolences to Natalie and his children. Rest in peace Roger - thank you for your music, your legacy will live on for many years to come.

I might have found myself adoring UK punk in the late 70s but, on the way to that time in my life, I knew a wonderful voice and a great song when I heard them. Thoughts are with your family, and thank you Roger.

Roger - you have been in our lives always, via Kenya schools, National Theatre, Cafes in Nairobi (Hank days) and of course the Kenya Regiment. You have left us such a lovely legacy and you will never be forgotten. Condolences to your family.
