I grew up with his music rest in peace, Roger.🙏
R.I.P. dear Roger. We met 2 times and your music was/ is my lifesafer
Wishing peace and love to his family. Roger's music brought me and my own family so much joy over the years. Be proud that he touched so many with his mellifluous voice.
Mein herzliches Beileid. Ein unglaublich toller Sänger den ich sehr sehr geschätzthabe. Und alle seine Lieder habe ich mir immer wieder angehört habe. Ein Toller Mann und Sänger leb wohl und Ruhe in Frieden.
I grew up listening to Mr. Whittaker’s music and had the great pleasure of seeing him perform live once in Concord, NH. I had the opportunity to meet him but unfortunately missed it and forever regret that. I’ve always enjoyed the music and found my favorite singing songs in the shower and in kareoke mostly from his collection of songs. His passing is truly the end of an era and her will be missed greatly.
Rest in peace, sir. Thank you for the wonderful music and memories it invokes in me.
Forever grateful,
Bob Gilmore
My mother and I loved your music . I attended two concerts in Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. Play the music most of the time especially Albany. Rest in peace condolences to the family.
Great singer with such a beautiful voice so sad to hear of his passing. I have so many great memories growing up in the 1970s listening to his songs,The last farewell is a particular favourite, which I often listen to on youtube. RIP Mr Whittiker.
One of a kind. Master whistler. I loved it when he said everyone is carrying an instrument they can learn to play anywhere. For years I tried to play Elizabethian Serenade, but could not master the high notes he reached. His music will live on!!
Recall Roger Whittaker songs as I was growing up. I can still sing all the words to " The last farewell". A speedy last farewell journey to a great singer/songwriter.RIP.
I loved his music. It was very thought provoking and made me laugh at times. He seemed to enjoy his craft so much.
A magical velvety voice. Luckily he has left a catalogue of classic songs which will keep his memory alive.
Merci Roger pour ta merveilleuse musique que mon père ma fait découvrir étant plus jeune je souhaite mes sympathies à toutes votre famille et amis et a vos administrateurs
As I child I grew up with Roger's music. My parents would play his music in (what seemed like) endless car rides. His soothing voice and the beautiful melodies made every journey quite enjoyable.
I offer my deepest sympathy to Roger's loved ones. He will be greatly missed!
R.I.P. Roger Whittaker 💐 🙏🏻 💐

We are so sorry to hear this. I was just looking thru my CD collection and found two of his CD's that I love to listen to. RIP Roger,go with the angels and be at peace.
Mr Whittaker left us an enormous gift of his music. I will always cherish it. Rest in peace fellow African!
I wanted so say how sorry I am to learn about Rogers passing. My mum and dad loved his music. I grew up with it playing in the house. My mum sent him songs and he replied saying ‘keep going you will make a good record one day’ RIP x 🕊
Dear family,
My deepeat condoleances for your loss! Roger was one of my biggest inspirators and motivators, although I am to young to ever saw him perform live. His music will keep me going for the rest of my life. I wish you all strenght in this difficult time. He will be dearly missed! Love, Ruud
In the early 1990,s my family received a Signed Photo and message from Roger which really helped our son Cris and us (his Mom and Dad) through a very traumatic time.
Cris who was nine years old at the time had been diagnosed with leukaemia and was about to have a Bone Marrow transplant when we received this photo out of the blue. Someone must have contacted Roger and told him of Cris’s illness and of course his liking of Rogers music, he was always playing it.
Cris had the BMT at the Birmingham Children Hospital for which he had to stay in an isolation ward in the transplant unit for several weeks. Because of the length of the stay and the seriousness of the procedure he was allowed to take in what he wanted which included a CD player and of course a Roger Whittaker CD.
He or we used to play this CD daily during his stay, so much so Cris new the words of the songs off by heart.
Cris was very ill and we were close to losing him at one point waiting for the new marrow to take and grow. But grow it did and one day while having a shower he started singing Leaving On A Jet Plane at the top of his voice. We knew then he was feeling better.
So thank you Roger, God Bless and Rest in Peace
