When mr. Whittaker visited Trondheim in the 70s, I played in a band called Bugges Firo. Our guitarplayer, Tore Lande was the promotor for that concert. Mr. Whittaker used our equipment in Nidarøhallen - the concert venue. He sang in my mic. I have all these years been a big fan of this fantastic artist. Rest in peace. Dagfinn

Roger's music has always been a part of my life. I am very blessed to have been able to be born in a time where his music is a part of our lives. I had tickets to see him once, but unfortunately he had to cancel and I was never able to see him live. I will always treasure his music, his song "oh my papa" was my daddy/daughter dance at my wedding. I'll always cherish that moment. May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest <3

Saw Roger in concert on a number of occasions and have nearly all of his albums. His soothing voice always puts you in a warm mood. He will be so very missed but thank goodness his music will live on. My sincere condolences to his entire family. He was truly a great performer and a genuinely nice man.

RIP Roger, and condolences to your family and other loved ones that you have left behind. I remember shaking hands with you at a concert in Guildford (UK) many years ago. Loved your music and was a member of the former UK fan club

I was very sad to hear of Roger’s passing. His musical talent, singing and composing, was outstanding and his concerts were always so entertaining. We saw him on stage for the first time in 1973 in Christchurch and the last time in 1989 in Croydon, England. I joined the fan club and loved getting the magazines and news of Roger and the family. We met him several times and found him to be a lovely, generous person. We have been playing his misic a lot lately and my grandson (7) has been enjoying it too. Much love to the family. He will be missed. RIP Roger Whittaker.

I was nearly shocked to read the news today of Rogers passing away. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family. I followed his music since I was 13 in the year 1976 and I’m sure I will continue to do so. RIP Roger 😞😢

Sad but so glad I discovered him. Got listening to him when my parents and older folk had cassettes of his music. Listening in car on long journey's so his voice and songs were imprinted on my early years. I got into heavy metal, rock and all that in late 70's and early 80's but remained listening to and buying his music throughout. I still play him in car and at home and I'm now in mid 50's. Always been there in my life's soundtrack. Never met or saw him live but on record he sounded such a lovely man. Thank you for your Music Roger. RIP my friend xx

What an amazing man who touched our hearts in so many ways. My request is for ‘My Land is Kenya’ to be played at my funeral. A huge part of my childhood memories. RIP and thank you for your legacy.
