Deeply saddened to hear of Roger's passing his music was part of the soundtrack to my life since childhood and such a talented singer and musician and what a fantastic musical legacy he has left behind as his music will live on for future generations to discover, R.I.P to one of the greatest showbiz legends.
So sad to hear that Roger has gone on to higher service. I'm sure he was a lovely man. Loved his music and voice had such clarity. Rest In Peace dear man - never forgotten.

As a child, I grew up listening to Roger. My mum would play him in the car and at home. His songs always bring back memories of a happy childhood. I am still in awe of his whistle!

I am filled with profound sadness. His voice has filled our home for 49 years. No one else can fill those shoes.
Your songs were an accompaniment to much of my childhood as my parents listened to them on the radio or albums. And I loved them too. As an adult they can still move me and I can find myself humming or whistling them. A last farewell mr. Whittaker, rest in peace and thank you so much for all the wonderful music you have given us.

Roger had one of the most most beautiful voices i've ever heard.My Mum would often play his songs when i was a young boy growing up in Liverpool. RIP Roger you're music will live on forever.
