Roger had one of the most most beautiful voices i've ever heard.My Mum would often play his songs when i was a young boy growing up in Liverpool. RIP Roger you're music will live on forever.

My father, who passed away a decade ago, was not a man of music in any sense. However, while busy making or fixing or arranging or putting up something, we kids would frequently hear him whistle a Whittaker tune or two. It was his happy mode.

Every time I get on the ferry from Ireland back to UK (I have a foot in both camps) my father used to burst into song of The Last Farewell. Not as good a rendition as Roger's but its a memory that stays with me. About a year ago I dropped my daughter at the airport @ 4 in the morning. Having dropped her off I put on the radio, what started playing?

The Last Farewell - What a fantastic voice you had. Powerful yet soft and gentle. My Danish Parents didn’t understand English yet they loved listening to your songs and they introduced me to your wonderful songs and I have enjoyed them immensely and they serve now as a strong reminder of my mum and my late dad. My sincere condolences to your wife and the rest of your family and all who knew and loved you. RIP Roger. 💔

I'm very sorry to hear that Roger Whittaker has passed away. His music has a special place in my heart, as it has in millions of other hearts. He was a wonderful singer, a skilled musician, and he will be missed dearly. Fortunately, we will always have his wonderful music and recordings to enjoy and remember him by. Rest in peace, good lad.

Es macht mich sehr traurig diese Nachricht zu lesen das uns Roger verlassen hat seine Musik hat mich seit meinen Kindheitstagen begleitet und sie über alles geliebt bei seinem Song Albany erwischte ich mich doch jedesmal beim mitsingen. Eine großartige Stimme und toller Mensch ist von uns gegangen doch seine Musik und die Erinnerung bleiben für immer.

Farewell Roger. Rest in peace. New World in the Morning is one of my favorite albums of all time and the single one of my late Mothers favorite songs. You were a 'special kind of man'. No-one will ever surpass your whistling ability. Condolences to your family.

Loved his music. As a teenager I learnt to code to his songs, and to this day when I need to concentrate I still play them.

When mr. Whittaker visited Trondheim in the 70s, I played in a band called Bugges Firo. Our guitarplayer, Tore Lande was the promotor for that concert. Mr. Whittaker used our equipment in Nidarøhallen - the concert venue. He sang in my mic.
I have all these years been a big fan of this fantastic artist. Rest in peace. Dagfinn

Roger's music has always been a part of my life. I am very blessed to have been able to be born in a time where his music is a part of our lives. I had tickets to see him once, but unfortunately he had to cancel and I was never able to see him live.
I will always treasure his music, his song "oh my papa" was my daddy/daughter dance at my wedding. I'll always cherish that moment.
May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest <3

So sorry to hear that he is dead. I was a big fan from my childhood. I was in Lucky to hear Roger Whittaker a consert in Denmark. Thank you. Think of the family and their lost❤️
